This agreement outlines the expectations for the safe, respectful and responsible use of ICT equipment,
internet services and online learning platforms at Valley State College.

Student Responsibilities

Students agree to:

• Use technology for educational purposes
• Follow teacher instructions
• Protect passwords and personal information
• Communicate respectfully online
• Report unsafe or inappropriate online behaviour
• Respect copyright and intellectual property
• Care for school-owned equipment responsibly

Online learning platforms that are or maybe used within this school

• Compass Education
• Microsoft Teams
• OneDrive
• Google Drive, Docs, Classroom
• Canva for Education
• Education Perfect
• ClickView
• SkoolLoop
• SkoolBooks
• Other approved educational platforms

Artificial Intelligence (AI) Use

Students understand that AI tools may only be used when authorised by teachers and must not be used
to submit dishonest or misleading work.

Prohibited Activities

Students must not:

• Access inappropriate or offensive material
• Share passwords or accounts
• Download harmful software
• Record others without permission
• Use technology to bully, threaten or harass others
• Attempt to bypass school security or internet filters
