Hello I am Yvonne Goodman, and I teach History while also serving as Head of Humanities at Valley State College. I’ve always been fascinated by the stories of the past and how they shape the world we live in today. In my History classes, I encourage students to think critically about events, question sources, and understand different perspectives, so they can develop a deeper appreciation of how societies change over time.
As Head of Humanities, I work across History, Geography, Social Studies, and related subjects to help students make meaningful connections between people, places, and events. I enjoy supporting teachers to create engaging learning experiences that bring the past and present together, and I’m passionate about helping students become thoughtful, informed, and active global citizens.
